Comments: The SpaSoft Team is why I keep coming back to this software. The follow through, support, training and professionalism is second to none. Staff and management all feel they have a vested interest in our success. That is the difference between a interactive program and just a functional tool to book appointments with.

Pros:

I like the fact the software was developed for spas directly. This avoids the needs for constant work arounds or substitutions. Also, the reporting features are thorough, accurate and user friendly. These help accounting, forecasting, night audit... all get the information they need. The online component has been a huge plus to our business as well.

Cons:

It is a very hefty program and at times I feel we are not maximizing its benefits fully. More user trainings, conferences etc would be helpful but difficult to do. Maybe webinars on various components.

Hard Times for IT

Comments: We have been using the software for about 9 years. (October-2010/January-2020) In the version we were using (last update 2014) it had the functions at the time, however these days it was very outdated and it was not possible to complete the update. The program is also not suitable for dealing with Portuguese laws. It was good as long as it was possible to use it.

Pros:

The concept of the program is well thought out for the management of SPA, however the update of versions, despite the annual cost of use, is not included.

Cons:

It was not possible to update the program version to a newer version. The update conditions should have been verified by SpringMiller prior to advance payment and not at the time of the update. the support timezone also makes communications difficult.

Take a ridiculous amount of time to load schedules

Comments: I absolutely hate it. Use literally any other software.

Pros:

Literally nothing. I have used square, and several other scheduling software for my massage business over the course of 16 years. Spasoft is the slowest most antiquated software i have ever used. If i was able to change software i would.

Cons:

It is super slow. It is very cumbersome to use. It doesnt merge with our payment software and online booking is impossible

Affordable and straight forward as a software package. Needs intuitive feature attention.

Comments: Clean interface for our data warehouse to access this vendor software package.

Pros:

Spasoft is a straight forward software solution for managing spa packages and handling client schedules. Integration to the software to tie into business warehouses is also straight forward and the data is very cleanly stored in a simple set of table dimensions. There is a feature where the packages that are defined by the property management is then put into a custom set of dimensions that is easily usable. From a clean and easy to use front end to a very easy to aggregate backend, this is a very solid spa management software tool.

Cons:

The lack of native encryption options on customer data is lacking. Seemless integration with other POS management software is missing from the program. This software has a pretty interface, yet, branding features could be enhanced. Think WPF control templates.

Pros:

The interface of the visual book is very intuitive and very simple. The training modules are easy to use and allow for seamless training.

Cons:

Opens several windows when performing multiple functions.

Comments: SpaSoft customer service is excellent. My direct contact is attentive and informative.

Pros:

SpaSoft's flexibility, data gathering, and reports.

Cons:

New reports engine broke a lot of features for drilling down into business lines. The most liked feature became the least liked. Reports used to be incredibly intuitive, now they are just laborious, the same data is available, unfortunately, it is now buried under repetitive steps that lack prior usability. A lack of online training and user "How To's". Adding this while your competitors struggle with the basics would be resources well spent.

Comments: Spasoft as a program is wonderful for the booking of services. Challenges arise with Inventory and POs, interfacing with PMS and Credit card services. The booking design is intuitive, but the reporting is not. Hopefully future versions of the system address these challenges.

Cons:

Reporting, Inventory, POs, too many "ok" clicks to get things done.

Expensive, outdated, but reliable

Comments: Extremely expensive product. The display is horrendous - think early 90s windows. However, it does do what it claims and is dependable.
