Shopify Reviews for Indian Users
Top Ecommerce Software
Comments: Shopify is my go-to ecommerce platform for helping small businesses.
Pros:
very easy platform to integrate and use to sell
Cons:
could be a bit tricky to navigate adding new products and selling on 3rd party platforms
A good e-commerce platform to start but with limitations and monthly fees
Comments: We used Shopify for about a year starting a new online business and it excels as an entry point into e-commerce, in particular if you don't have much technical knowledge. But for superior customization and flexibility it's quite limited. Other platforms give more functionality without subscription fees.
Pros:
User-friendly platform with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, drag-and-drop functionality in the web editor and free templates. The App Store provides many integrations and add-ons.
Cons:
Overall the flexibility is limited compared to other platforms and migrating the store away from Shopify to other platform can be difficult as it’s a closed system. Monthly subscription fees.
Not for beginners
Comments:
My experience with it not so great.
For those that have been using it since the start, I know they love it.
For someone new to the drop shipping business, it’s a hot mess.
Pros:
So many Options, that it has great possibilities
Cons:
The easy of use is painful, like connect this and this and this and this with this. Really annoying
Why use Shopify
Comments: We have been using Shopify for a number of years, the platform has been stable with no downtime that i can remember. There are lots of plugins which can be used to add extra features and tools.
Pros:
Its easy enough to use, had lots of features and functions that we want
Cons:
Pricing for seats is based on plan level and if you need more you have to move to the next plan which can be quite a jump in expense.
Alternatives Considered:
Get in the game
Pros:
Variety of templates and reduces the barrier of entry into the eCommerce space to pretty much nothing.
Cons:
Always looking for smoother, easier, more flexible integrations with our brick and mortar business - Shopify is pretty solid here, but some fields/options do not translate well.
Alternatives Considered:
Only for people who are really willing to deal with it
Comments: I completely underestimated the time required to manage the shop. Something is constantly changing here or a new update is coming out and you have to check what changes. On the one hand, I understand that this keeps it up to date, but on the other hand, it also loses user-friendliness. Anyone who is willing to delve deeper into everything that goes into it (shipping, taxes, data maintenance,...) will have a lot of fun.
Pros:
The setup is clear and there are many helpful tutorials online
Cons:
That you have to pay extra for useful tools that are required by law (e.g. cookie banners, etc.). This drives up the costs for the shop, which is really difficult, especially in the beginning or for small businesses.
Amazing for every e-commerce business
Comments: Shopify is an incredible tool suitable for businesses of all sizes, I have had an amazing experience building online stores with this tool
Pros:
Shopify is the most complete and customisable e-commerce building platform I’ve ever worked with.
Cons:
Changes can be difficult using liquid and limited elements
Alternatives Considered:
Sales-ready website without developer
Comments: It’s been good for us overall! You can have a professional sell-ready website without needing a Webdeveloper.
Pros:
Ease to use, SEO friendly, great apps, good to increase sales.
Cons:
Fees can get pretty high as you scale up and sell more.
The Best E-Com Website Tool
Comments: very good and i using it from a 5 years. i am increasing revnue.
Pros:
easy to start with new website and easy payment method
Cons:
margin to deduct from payment method with you use web payment
Alternatives Considered:
Easy to use
Comments: Like, would use again for e-commerce. Trusted website.
Pros:
Easy to set up web based shop, not a graphic designer and I could.
Cons:
Monthly fee was higher than I wanted it to be.
Shopify is IT.
Comments: Although you may not have the total control and flexibility you could achieve with a self hosted solution the overall improvements in not having to manage your servers and speed of integration makes it definitely worthy.
Pros:
As a developer / part-time system administrator Shopify's cloud solution is the best possible solution for an ecommerce. Blazing fast solid infrastructure
Cons:
Coming from WooCommerce Shopify is not the most open environment due to its cloud structure. Heavy customization is achievable through Apps, Functions or Plus features. Plus pricing is hefty.
Alternatives Considered:
Shopify works!
Comments: Extremely happy with it. So glad we changed from word press which had lots of problems. Very very pleased.
Pros:
Ease of use, never have had one single problem from anyone ordering that we’ve hear about, safe, secure, people are able to navigate easily through the site. Nothing bad to say.
Cons:
Kinda expensive to keep up with the annual cost, but it’s worth it.
Alternatives Considered:
Best e-commerce platform
Comments: Excellent software for e-commerce and is my go to choice.
Pros:
Ease of set up, and the speed at which you can launch your store.
Cons:
The additional costs to get a great theme rather than have to create one yourself. Saves time but is a hidden cost.
Alternatives Considered:
Avoid its terrible now!!!
Comments: Terrible...sad...exhausting...poor...depressing...suicidal....
Pros:
Ease of setting up a store without coding.
Cons:
NO support staff anymore they cancelled phone support, then they cancelled email support, then they laid off 1000s of support staff and now its just a chat bot you have to fight to get through to speak to a human who isnt even a technician. Constant downtime if you care to look on downtime tracker, although shopify will lie and say its not true. Constant checkout issues we have days where customers cant pay by card, shopify have admitted there is issues but guess what under there terms in section 7 as pasted so basically tough, you can lose £10000s and they simply say tough in a nice way of course, apparently they dont need to provide a decent standard of service, thats news to me all conbtracts state a decent level of service must be provided! From there lying support.. General support sent your query over to my team. I wanted to reach out to you directly on this. I understand that you would like your recent support experience looked into? Firstly, it sounds like you have been doing everything that you can to get your checkout and store looked at. I am glad to hear that is now resolved and working again for you. We apologise for the drop in communications, and you are correct, you should have received a reply from our support on your tickets. While I can understand that this matter had an impact on your business, Shopify does not offer compensation for Shopify stores and downtime. Please see our [Terms of Service](https://www.shopify.com/legal/terms), section 7. Limitation of Liability. Which states: Shopify does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We will not be able to authorize compensation on this account. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any queries at all. Kind regards, Holly Support Specialist | Billing & Payments So not only do they cream a high percentage off EVERY sale they also charge high monthly fees, they have no to poor help now and oh but the cracker is they recently made 25% gain in profit for the hedge funds that now own it while laying off half the staff...see a pattern here by the president Harvey Finklestein...yes thats really his name from israel.

E-commerce solution for small businesses.
Comments: It is easy to use. Get ready to grow your sales countrywide.
Pros:
I have used Shopify for my store and have liked the experience of creating, designing and seeing sales increase. Overall I have liked how beginner friendly it is.
Cons:
Finding the right apps is a challenge so I have had to research before buying an app for the store
Great for Growing an E-commerce Business with Customizable Options!
Comments: Shopify is a solid choice for anyone looking to build and grow an online store, especially those looking for a platform that scales as they grow. It has a range of features to support growth, a supportive community, and a wide range of integrations. Just be mindful of the additional costs as your store expands.
Pros:
Shopify is a versatile platform for building an online store, and it’s well-suited for both beginners and more advanced users. The setup is straightforward, with a vast selection of beautiful, customizable themes that make designing the storefront easy. Shopify’s app marketplace offers many tools to integrate for added functionality—like marketing, analytics, and dropshipping options—that can help scale a business. Plus, the support is responsive and typically helpful, making it a reliable option for maintaining a smooth-running store.
Cons:
While Shopify’s core features are solid, costs can add up quickly. Some key features (such as advanced reporting and certain apps) are locked behind higher-tier plans or come with additional fees, which might not be ideal for very small businesses. Also, the transaction fees can be a downside unless you use Shopify Payments, so it’s worth factoring this into the overall cost.
Open Your Own Store With Shopify
Comments: I had a great time, opening the store with Shopify and keeping it open for about a year. Unfortunately, the price of the monthly fees were a little to high. I only made a few sales, but it was a great experience to be honest.
Pros:
At first glance I was impressed by the fact I could create my own little store on the website I own. I like the fact that you could choose your own products to sell based on your own personal taste. I enjoyed creating my store because it was so easy to make from scratch. I was thrilled that I got the new store up and running within days of starting the process with Shopify. I even made a few sales, once I linked it to my personal website. I was totally impressed on how easy it was to navigate the store’s back office or owner area. The company did exactly what it says and I like having completely satisfied customers and good reviews on my store.
Cons:
I did not like the monthly pricing, but if you want to keep your store open. I found it was hard to learn all of the policies and laws that pertain to your store, but the program lists them all. Additionally, I did not like the customer service that I was given by Shopify.
I really liked my Shopify experience
Comments: A very good experience for me and I would recommend it to anyone because of its many advantages compared to its disadvantages
Pros:
One of its advantages is that it is easy to use on a mobile phone and that it is very suitable for owners of small business projects. The prices of its plans are considered good compared to its competitors in the field. The most important advantage from my point of view is the number of visits per month due to its great popularity, which of course is reflected in sales.
Cons:
One of its drawbacks for me is the lack of diversity in methods of payment and receiving money. The second drawback is that it does not provide a free trial for the first month for any new user without a final payment, and this is a type of motivation and support.
It's Good Not Great
Comments: Shopify has been good. However, at times, the website does glitch and becomes unaccessible. I often received error messages. Editing the website has been challenging, as the backend layout is not user friendly. Even the assistance by Google or Youtube is not always helpful.
Pros:
Receiving notifications by email whenever a sale is made.
Cons:
The backend editing of the website is not user friendly.
Alternatives Considered:
Love this platform
Comments: I like Shopify, it’s a popular trustworthy platform. It was easy creating policies and uploading merchandise pictures. Once I got the hang of decorating the site it became easy to make changes
Pros:
Easy payment options, widely used, reasonable pricing, freedom to completely customize your site
Cons:
It was a little difficult to design your site at 1st. I also had issues with shipping costs initially but it became easier to navigate over time
Shopify Is Still My Favorite
Comments: I've been using Shopify for years and it's still the platform that I recommend most often to other business owners. The relatively moderate price and functionality of the tool keep me coming back.
Pros:
The recent improvements have made Shopify even more easy to use.
Cons:
I wish the Customer Service was more consistent. Sometimes I get really great solutions to my problems & sometimes it takes several emails to resolve my issue.
Shopify review
Comments: Easy to use and highly intuitive interface for building and managing online stores, I like it more than other similar product because of that.
Pros:
It was designed for people who are not technical users like me, offering a highly intuitive interface for building and managing online stores.
Cons:
The costs, and so many feature require third part apps, which can be more additional monthly fee.
Shop at Shopify
Comments: It was a splendid experience to shop with them
Pros:
I liked the website layout and coordination and also the availability of goods they had
Cons:
I didn't like most of the price options as they were relatively expensive
Shop in Shopify
Comments: Overall, it is fun and intuitive experience that I have with Shopify they help me create my own brand and website with ease.
Pros:
The wide range of customizing features of Shopify is what I like such as the email templates, the branding of products and the website itself. Additionally, the user-friendly interface it has that makes my navigation easy to use and navigate.
Cons:
The limited customization for advanced users is what Shopify lacks, but it does provide one essential thing in eCommerce is that it provides a platform for business people online.
i really liked shopify experience
Comments: My experience with Shopify has been largely positive. Its intuitive interface, extensive features, and strong support have facilitated smooth operations for my e-commerce business, contributing to its growth and success.
Pros:
Shopify's user-friendly interface, extensive app ecosystem, robust customization options, and excellent customer support stand out as its strengths.
Cons:
Occasional limitations in customization, transaction fees, and dependency on apps for advanced features are some drawbacks of Shopify.
