Raken has made life easier

Comments: Raken has been an excellent partner during the entire journey. From the pitch, through proof of concept, license negotiations, implementation, and production, Raken has been very easy to deal with the entire way.

Pros:

The struggle to produce quality daily reports at construction sites used to be real. Raken gave us an "Easy" button. It is almost hard to imagine life before Raken.

Cons:

Raken has some extremely nice checklist features to collect data on the mobile app. The only con, is that getting to the data behind these checklists is not possible beyond the PDF report that the checklist produces.

Great Program for Timecard System

Pros:

Ease of use for the field employees. Love that we can customize our cost codes and track prevailing wage classifications. Our field guys are notified their time cards are ready and it is very easy for them to go in an approve. The gallery on each project is so easy to use and upload and the one drive integration is amazing for our team!

Cons:

Raken has been very easy to use. It would be nice if there were more features that were customizable.

Raken is great!

Comments: Very easy app to use, it has a lot of great tools to report whatever is needed in the field. The tracking of safety is great just in case we get audited.

Pros:

We are using it for the ease of the JHA feature, it's simple and easy for the guys!

Cons:

We are a small company so cost matters to us probably more than a larger company, so the price was what make us take a pause before ordering.

Raken Review

Comments: Works well for the most part besides for a few issues here and there. Your team does a good job being accessible and reaching out to help. Certain features we would like to see implemented that don't seem to be on your teams' plans have us looking for solutions elsewhere.

Pros:

Accessibly and the simple interface makes the integration into using very simple for employees new to online softwares. The surveys are also very helpful and allow for easy to compute data being accessible for everyone to see.

Cons:

Isn't much that can be tailored to our needs specifically. We have discussed with members of your team on certain features or abilities we would like to have available that you are unable to meet.

My personal review of Raken

Comments: It’s simple it keeps track of all daily scopes of work, hours,manpower and delays it’s a personal quality control system simple app easy to learn saves time and money

Pros:

Keeping up with scope of work hours and manpower

Cons:

No cons All pros Digital Secretary at your fingertips A blessing definitely help you stay organized

Preferred document management platform.

Comments: Very positive. Much preferred to other platforms I have used or reviewed.

Pros:

Easy to use. Our field team has created reports that have proven to be significant down the road.

Cons:

Difficult to implement changes to the templates. Templates are not very flexible.

You can teach older dogs new tricks

Comments: Experience has been spectacular, [sensitive content hidden] have been incredible to deal with.

Pros:

Raken's support is second to none. They are always responsive, patient and knowledgeable. The software speaks for itself. Most of my field staff is not tech savy and they fought me every step of the way until they actually had to use Raken for the first time, now I get calls if the project is not set up in Raken. I would have never believed it if I didn't see it for myself.

Cons:

One criticism is the need to have reports emailed instead of being able to just view them.

Pros:

It is easy and quick to work with on a project. You van work on your, IPad or laptop all in the same day.

Cons:

No guide book that can purchased to use as a referemce.

Excellent easy to use and set up

Comments: Customer service is easy to communicate with. The app is very flexible and user friendly.

Pros:

Flexibility. Depending on your project, you can select what you need and don’t need.

Cons:

Still looking for the con. So far, the app has been very easy to learn.

New to the Raken Block

Comments: Even the trouble I've had, a quick chat and bam, problem solved!

Pros:

I have used Field Wire and Procore extensively. Neither allow the collaboration, and interaction of a large agency like HDR implements with Raken. Al the others have their high points, but communication together is more important daily than the recording of events. Good Job!

Cons:

I have not used any of the drawing interactive features. Using Procore, there was too much sharing of this resource. Only the PM and Super should be able to red line. Will weigh in later

Diamond in the rough...and it is rough!

Comments: Fantastic team, all very helpful...I have not spent one minute feeling like a number or a dollar sign. My sales person [SENSITIVE CONTENT], phenomenal. One of the best sales approaches with the proper follow up that I have ever been involved with. He made this so easy. This software has made keeping track of what goes where with who and when as easy as can be. Each of my Foremen/Project managers can get their notes in all day long instead of spending 30 minutes to an hour at the end of each day to dump information to the cloud. It's quick, it's fast, it keepsy company moving!

Pros:

Cons:

Would like a little more customization options but I haven't even had our full set up yet so I am sure it's coming. Would like to be able to assign tasks to mutiple people without recreating the task. Would like name and time stamps on notes.

Raken is a great asset

Comments: Raken works well for us in the office and the field. Gives everyone one place to put all the jobs and tracking everything moving through multiple job sites.

Pros:

Ability to use in the field helps keep the job running without taking the time out of anyone’s day to run out to look at the job and stream line changes.

Cons:

Toolbox talks could improve for adding people via app vs having to go on desk top.

Comments: Raken seems somewhat helpful in keeping the details for different jobsites.

Pros:

Raken help keeps track of details at different project locations.

Cons:

Obtaining an invoice from Raken system is challenging.

Raken is Perfect Tool for Small Subcontractor!

Pros:

Our small company is able to do all necessary project documentation and tracking in Raken.

Cons:

WE would like to have a more seamless integration with our Quickbooks accounting software.

Comments: Excellent I really enjoy logging on from any device and it all keeps trac k.

Pros:

Customer support and accuracy I like the way it keeps track of the hours even on other jobs

Rollover. And the way it carries over I have no problem and if there is I call customer support

Happy with our investment

Comments: Overall we are happy with Raken and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.

Pros:

Helps keep our projects organized and moving forward smoothly. support is great and helpful with looking into upgrades and requests for improvements is welcome.

Cons:

The learning curve for certain personnel onsite is difficult and slow to accept. Some modules need overhauls to make more user friendly and some features added are needed like date stamps on task completion.

Great for construction management

Comments: I have used it daily for 13 years between the 2 companies I have worked for

Pros:

You answer questions and upload pictures and the format of the report is put together for you

Cons:

It can be glitchy. I don’t like that you can’t add pictures to the equipment if you have already passed that day

Functional Program that has the potential for so much more.

Pros:

It is easy to start using and requires minimal instruction. The daily report is nice once it is processed.

Cons:

The updates that occur seem to down grade the system. There has not been an update that we have been excited about. The last one wiped out many of the things we liked.

Raken Review

Comments: We have been using the Raken app now for almost 8 months. We have found that this greatly cuts on paper waste, and improves response time by having uploads available in real time.

Pros:

We are a commercial wood framing company. The best feature of this app is the ease of use for all of our foremen. The speak-to-text works great, and uploading pictures are simple. This gives us plenty of real-tie information.

Cons:

Once you have multiple projects going, sometimes it is difficult to find a specific log that mentions a key item you are looking for from a month or two ago. A keyword search feature to sort through the daily logs would be nice.

Raken for construction reporting.

Comments: We are steel erectors running 3 crews. We were going crazy trying to keep up with who was where doing what. None of our Forman are good with paper processing. We introduced them to Raken and we get more detail on a daily basis that we ever thought possible. They love it....what was burdensome communication is now bragging rights....the Forman take pride in their work and out-do each other with amazing photos of work completion and level of daily accomplishment. We are no longer chasing down fuel and charge card receipts as they just snap a picture of it, include it in the daily activity report and throw the paper away. No more Monday morning crisis calls from the office trying to sort payroll, either. We close everyday knowing how many hours each employee worked on each job. Payroll and cost accounting can now be processed daily and by Monday morning, payroll is all ready to go with the push of a button. The Daily Reports are also very professional in appearance. We are often treated like small potatoes by large General Contractors and now, with our Daily Reports, we no longer have long negotiation sessions over Change Order requests because our work is accurately and professionally documented along with photographs. Thanks, Raken. We are fans.

Best Software for Daily Reports

Comments: We have been able to easily track many daily reports of our projects using Raken. Being able to have them all in one location is nice. Also, sending out daily reports to other people that need to see them is a great feature.

Pros:

Using Raken for the past 3+ years, I have seen the software develop and continue to expand. Raken strives to be on the leading edge for keeping track of day to day activities on a construction site. Using the app on my phone or tablet has been very helpful in keeping track of jobsite Daily Reports. Being able to attach pictures to the report is great.

Cons:

There has not been any issues or problems with the software that has stood out to me. Only thing I've had trouble with in the past has been pictures uploading sideways. This was corrected with an update to the app.

Love Raken - Highly recommend

Comments: Tracking and receiving daily reports is made possible. Without Raken it would be a paperwork nightmare for everyone.

Pros:

The support is the best support out of all the software packages we use. The developers respond quickly to bigger issues and most importantly the software is incredibly intuitive and well designed. All spectrum of technical skills in our company can use it with ease.

Cons:

I wish they had more functionalities that we could use. We really only use the Daily reporting function. I would love to be able to download everything into an excel file.
