JazzHR helps keep everything organized and in one place

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: We went from 500 to 1500 people quickly because to JazzHR's scalable design. We were able to create a streamlined and effective recruiting procedure with clear and well-defined workflows that aided each recruiter in doing their job more effectively. Facilitates consolidation of related materials.

Pros:

Platform that is simple to learn and use. Facilitates streamlined request and candidate tracking within your team. Works flawlessly with any other recruiting tools you may be using, whether they're internal or external. Setting up a workflow and aids to assist with the workflow might help reduce stress on your recruiting staff. Better candidate management, texting capabilities, and automations

Cons:

I'd like to make a standardized scoring sheet for use by all interviewees. I wish there was a way to search job boards for people who were similar to the applicants I liked best during interviews. Please make it possible to quickly revise an email before sending it to a potential employee.

Good Value for Money

4.0 last year

Comments: Overall it is worth the money, and a great experience.

Pros:

JazzHR is very easy to set up and use. It also seamlessly connects to multiple job boards, and allows for postings to go out everywhere. There are also many integrations that work well.

Cons:

The career page was not great for us. We had multiple locations, and the career page just lumped them all together. It would have been great if you could search by location on it.

Not Worth the Money for Small Businesses

1.0 last year

Comments: JazzHR did not provide any added benefit in my recruiting efforts - all potential candidates came via Indeed, which is a lot less expensive.
Also had a very difficult time ending the membership which ended up costing us even more money - be aware!

Pros:

I appreciated the professionalism of the salesman & his knowledge

Cons:

Difficulty in ending membership and overpriced

Excellent Software!

5.0 last year

Comments: JazzHR has been an excellent product. We appreciate the visibility, customization, and streamlined processes that allow our team to work together easily and efficiently.

Pros:

We use JazzHR throughout our recruiting process - from job posting to managing candidates from application to hiring - JazzHR has been able to streamline and simplify the process allowing visibility to all team members. We especially appreciate the seamlessness of job postings on our website and the ease with which we are able to guide candidates through our hiring process from beginning to end.

Cons:

Occasionally there are minor issues that we find with JazzHR. For example, we found out that when we pushed candidates' resumes into JazzHR from another job posting site, the email alert was not triggered for this candidate in the JazzHR system. It is rare, small things like this that we sometimes run into, but do not take away from the entire experience with JazzHR.

Easy, Inexpensive, Great Functionality!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: There is a lot of information to take in when setting up JazzHR, but they provide tremendous training over the phone and through their tutorials and library. I always receive great customer service. The cost of using JazzHR is so incredibly reasonable that should not be a block for any company when considering using the system.

Pros:

What I like best about JazzHR is it allows for customization for how it can be used. Adding emails to different status's helps me keep candidates informed on where they are in the process, which is something candidates often complain about is companies not responding to, or keeping them updated on their status. This helps my clients maintain their good reputations. I like that when a candidate applies multiple times I can merge all their applications so all the notes are in one file and I don't need to jump back and forth between files. I also really like that I could integrate Criteria assessments into JazzHR. So when we speak with a candidate we are interested in, we can easily send them an assessment just by pushing a button, and the results will also be right there in the candidate file. There are so many other functions the system provides but for my small business clients they just really need a reliable recruiting platform and JazzHR is it.

Cons:

The texting feature is good, but I personally have run into some glitches that are specific to my account. While there is a work around, it is not ideal and creates other issues for me. However, when used by just one customer (business) they will not run into this issue. Texting is a great way to reach candidates who may not otherwise respond to my call since I call from an out of state area code.

Basic ATS without Any Bells and Whistles

4.0 last year

Pros:

Jazz is pretty easy to use, but doesn't have the depth of functionality that mid sized organizations need. If you are a small company that does 5-ish hires a year this is a perfectly good system.

Cons:

Be aware that if you switch to another ATS, the export that is provided can not be migrated and imported without significant work.

No complaints here!

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: I have no complains. It's easy to use and the customer service team is readily available to answer any queries we may have.

Pros:

JazzHR is a very user friendly platform. It gives you an option to post and track applicants in a very easy way with a lot of great feather such as key word searching, which is a huge help when you have a ton of applicants.

Cons:

Sometimes i find it hard to locate a job we posted in the past. I think thats due to how the jobs are sorted on the Jobs menu.

Pros:

I love several features in JazzHR, including job posting management to customize job offers, candidate tracking to manage all received applications with a dashboard to view their qualifications, and the creation of personalized questionnaires to assess the skills and abilities of candidates.

Cons:

I didn't find any features that I didn't like. JazzHR offers a wide range of features that are both interesting and advanced.

For the price, JazzHR is a great platform for applicant tracking and workflow management.

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: JazzHR has been a great applicant tracking system for us. Very user friendly and customizable. It is one of the most affordable systems I have seen on the market, so I think it's a great bang for your buck. Only downside is the lack of reporting/analytics for managing a recruiting team.

Pros:

This software is very user friendly and easy to navigate. You can customize your own workflows and easily extend offers with various templates depending on the position you are recruiting for. JazzHR also has an easy search feature to find a candidate by name, email address, or phone number.

Cons:

There are very few reporting tools/analytics within JazzHR to track metrics of a recruiting team. Due to this, I have to have my team send me a weekly snapshot on their submittals, interviews, offers, etc. JazzHR also does not integrate with a lot of other companies in order to streamline the onboarding process (i.e. background checks/drug screens can initiate automatically through the system)

They do not have the customer's best interest. Please be careful before signing on with them.

2.0 2 years ago

Pros:

It would post jobs on Indeed. It used to have better results, but they did not replace of the job boards down the road. It's not worth it now.

Cons:

Lacked the ability to do more for the customer and training was not the best. The account manager was very careful and sneaky with her words. The service had changed and there were no updates when the job boards had changed, but the prices were still the same.

Implementing JazzHR has allowed us to dramatically improve our recruitment efforts!

5.0 7 years ago

Comments: Using JazzHR has greatly improved the success of our recruitment efforts and increased communication among our managers and recruiters.

Pros:

JazzHR is very user friendly. It is easy to navigate the site, and there are a lot of features that are customizable - such as categories to easily narrow down search results, email templates, and workflows that automatically trigger notifications and tasks to different people. The ability to send our job posting to so many free job boards has been fantastic and saves us countless hours per job when we don't have to manually post on those sites. It integrates seamlessly with our website, so it is very easy for job seekers to find our open positions. They host tons of free webinars so that you can learn about the new features that they are constantly rolling out. The capability to create and send forms for an electronic signature through the HelloSign integration has been a huge improvement from our outdated process of trying to send and collect original documents through the mail. We always get helpful, speedy customer service whenever we have questions.

Cons:

One feature that would be really beneficial for us is a place where the hiring team can communicate and discusss the job itself. There is a discussion page for each candidate, but if anything changes with the job requirements - like the hours, schedule, location, etc) - we can't communicate that within Jazz within putting it on a candidate's discussion thread.

Cost Effective Solution, Suitable for All Business Sizes

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: Fantastic. Quick and easy migration. We had a short period to evaluate other solutions and implement. With our implementation contact, we were able to effectively migrate our data from iCIMS quickly.

Pros:

One of the few products I demoed that allows me to effectively export all data keyed into the system. Met my needs for unique customization, integration with existing HR platform, automated workflows, limited access to users based on needs, and more. More importantly, if provided me the same perks, with an upgraded UI both for admins and candidates, all while reducing our costs by 70% over our existing vendor (icims).

Cons:

No flexibility to set permissions down to the field level. We like to keep some of our app questions (i.e. what is you minimum expected salary) hidden and this is something that I can't currently hide from people marked as recruiters or hiring managers.

Look no further - You've found an ATS

5.0 8 years ago

Comments: I work in a recruiting capacity in the HR department of a mid-size company that utilizes Jazz as our recruiting software. As a growing company with strongly rooted family values, we are dedicated to making hiring decisions that will have a positive impact on our company's growth and image. Our HR department has been able to take our recruiting to the next level with Jazz since we can effectively track, source, and communicate with candidates from the moment we post a job up until we send out the offer of employment. Our company is not only dedicated to our employees, but also to each and every candidate that expresses an interest in employment with us; which is why, as a recruiter, my personal goal is to maintain communication with candidates at every stage, and Jazz makes that an EFFORTLESS process. I felt compelled to write a review for this software because not only is it a fantastic platform to use, but their customer service experience is unparalleled. They are always taking customer feedback into consideration and implementing changes that ease recruiting nuances, and unlike clunky applicant tracking systems of yore, they are constantly revamping their system to remain relevant with the latest recruiting practices. Anytime I interact with Jazz's product and customer service teams, they leave me confident in my decision to continue to utilize this system as a recruiting platform for years to come. I suggest you give their sales team a call and request a demo ASAP.

Alternatives Considered:

Best Recruiting Software

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: It has replaced our individual accounts with recruiting websites lower total costs and still bringing in lots of qualified people.

Pros:

Jazz is aggregate recruiter, you post to it and it posts your job on multiple boards. It allows you to see all job candidates in one place, at one price.

Cons:

There isn't a way to highlight your posts on certain boards it picks where your posts will be highlighted.

Almost perfect

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: We use Jazz to facilitate the hiring process for all our job postings, and it has made the life of our HR team so much easier. It would be good, though, to pair your usage of it with training so all your employees are using it in the preferred and best way for your organization.

Pros:

Jazz meets all the needs for taking your hiring process digital. It's easy to receive resumes and communicate with applicants via the platform's messaging system, which handily assigns anonymous email addresses to both you and the user. You can also get the messages forwarded to your email of choice. The dashboard view makes it easy to sort where you are in the hiring process and star priority candidates.

Cons:

Even though Jazz is packed with features, there are some things that are not intuitive about its design, or are not well thought out. For example, if a user changes the platform's notification settings, it changes them for all users. Other technology platforms have trained us to expect individual control over notifications and messaging alerts, but that is not the case here. It also takes some getting used to in order to find the view that works best. You can have a dashboard with just the candidates and jobs you are hiring for, but the default is to see all the applicants who have applied for every job. Even things like the comments field suffer from basic UI so you're not sure if your comment was recorded or not. They're not insurmountable obstacles, but can be small annoyances that make the platform less than perfect to use.

Great ATS!!

4.0 8 years ago

Comments: We implemented Jazz just under 2 years ago. I use it daily to sort resumes, post jobs, send emails, etc. In general it is a really good system that allows you to customize in a way that works best for you. Our account manager is always there is answer questions and to help train us on whatever we ask!

Pros:

Jazz continues to add updates to their system. They listen to their customers and try to make the overall function of Jazz user friendly, I believe they have accomplished that.

Cons:

The only cons I have right now is some of their tracking features need updated and the calendar feature. For example, it does not track who I email a resume to and the calendar function is low level.

Expensive, and not very useful.

3.0 7 years ago

Pros:

Jazz HR has workflows, and depending on your package it also has eSigning. The people are friendly until you've finished giving them your money, and then they'll be a quiet as a church mouse. It's stable software, but it's overpriced.

Cons:

I had opened an account with Jazz HR before the recruiter I hired let me know about Breezy HR. Breezy is free, and it does far more. Plus Breezy doesn't mislead you into thinking all you need to do is buy some expensive ad on a job site. Recruiters know how to recruit, and software alone is not the answer. Even if you just grab Breezy HR, and you don't have a recruiter working long hours to fill your role, then you still won't get anywhere. So, don't get me wrong. The reason I don't like Jazz HR is because it's overpriced for what you get. Recruiters are expensive, but your software doesn't need to be. For eSigning, grab a free plan with DocHub and you'll help their small business and you'll get free eSigning for a while. Then it's only a few bucks a month for signatures.

Employ Response

Hey there Rick, Thanks for your candid feedback. We're sorry you didn't see the results you wanted with JazzHR and that the customer success team didn't meet your expectations. Depending your needs, our pricing is quite competitive. While we do not offer a free plan, we feel our service justifies costs as low as $39/month for 3 open jobs. We're glad you did find it easy to use and the functionality was up to snuff. We hope you'll give us another try if you're hiring for more roles! -JazzHR

Great ATS system

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

I used it for many years at my previous work. It's very easy to use, and it has everything we need as recruiters, you just need to select the appropriate subscription for your needs

Cons:

In the subscription we had, when introducing a new CV in the platform, we needed to do it manually. Maybe with a higher price, there is this feature in another package.

Great recruiting software

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: I think JazzHR is a great recruiting tool. I just wish I had more training from my HR team in order to learn the ins and outs of this tools. I will definitely reuse it should we need to hire additional team members.

Pros:

I recently used JazzHR to recruit a new team member for my own team. JazzHR was very easy to use and navigate. I was able to select my top candidates and view their resumes directly on JazzHR.

Cons:

Not sure if this is a JazzHR issue but none of my candidates submitted a cover letter. My HR team set up the job posting and I was only in charged on the recruitment and viewing candidates on JazzHR so maybe it is a settings that we forgot to check. Other than that, I think it is a great tool!
